Taking a watercolor class is an investment in yourself, a chance to fellowhip with like minded individuals.  In class we focus on building our knowledge and skills with watercolor.  A simple project is completed (almost always) in a single class.  Through application, practice, guidance, and experience abilities grow.

A day in one of our Beginning Watercolor Classes

Everyone gathers in a large room with great light and plenty of space.  Water jars, paints, and brushes are all ready to go.

As everyone gathers, anyone who has something they want to share or get guidance on has the opportunity to do so.  Someone may show something they’ve tried on their own or another may ask for advice on a piece they are working on.  We don’t only discuss watercolor.  We’ve talked about acrylic, colored pencil, pencil, art supplies, etc.

Once everyone is ready, we start our project.  If its a new technique, we will go over it in depth and add it to a continuing vocabulary board.

I lead the project step-by-step answering questions and providing guidance as needed.  Most projects are finished in a single class.

Once a session, students have the opportunity to work on a project of their own choosing.  I guide the whole process.  From transferring the image to deciding the order the paint is applied.  This project usually takes 2 classes to complete.

If you have any questions, I’m happy to answer them.  Just shoot me an email at ArtwithMsAudrey@gmail.com.  Or you can always check out the Art with Ms. Audrey Facebook page.
