Art is All Around Us
Did you know Art influences our lives everyday and in ways we don’t even realize? From advertising to everyday sayings. Whether its how color makes us want to buy that new product or choosing “landscape” or “portrait” orientation to write our papers. Art is all around us.
Typically my classes are 1.5 hours long (dependent on the class) and are organized into sessions, usually about 6 weeks. I like to switch things up and cover a variety of mediums. We may focus on watercolor, creativity, Art History, or sculpture but the underlining basis for our projects is always the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. These are the building blocks of Art regardless of the material used. We use these in the Art we create and study how they have been used throughout Art History.
